My Dream

I have a dream that one day all of the Lego pieces owned by my three sons will be neatly stored and organized. Every Lego set will be built to its proper specifications. Every room of our home will not have miscellaneous Legos pieces scattered in all corners. Every time I sweep I will not have to pick out Lego pieces from the dirt and grime (because I'm a nice mom like that). When I go into my son's room at night to pray, I will not step on tiny Lego pieces and almost curse under my breath. One day all the Lego heads and bodies will be organized by race and gender. I found this Lego storage case the other day, and maybe this will be the start of my dream actually coming true!!

My CHRISTmas pictures

I did a horrible job capturing Christmas memories on my camera this year. Most of my pictures look like this...

and this....

and this...

So I may not remember what my children looked like the Christmas of 2009, but I will always remember what their gifts were!

Christmas is Coming!

Here is our annual Christmas card picture. Our friend Dean comes over to our house every year and takes a bunch of pictures of our family. And every year we get one good enough for our card. Megan asked this year why we don't just set the timer on our camera. But it is our "tradition", and so much more entertaining. I have a copy of every card and love getting them all out and comparing them. I'm like an eight year old boy with Yu-Gi-Oh cards!

The boys begged me to put presents under the tree. I was a little afraid to do this, but after giving lots of rules to everyone, I finally relented. So when I saw the "present sidewalk", I had to laugh. No rules were broken, and they had fun with this all morning!

How We Roll

Welcome to Christmas decorating Evanoff style. With 3 boys, you never know what you'll find. The other day I walked by my small Christmas village and noticed all the house tops had been colored with green marker. My son told me green snow is better than white snow. Sure it is!!

I find Yu-Gi-Oh cards everywhere. Seriously these things have a way of escaping the rubber band wrapped around them. I had to laugh when I found one in the Christmas tree!

This little tree was put together by my lovely daughter. It has an outdoor hunting/fishing/animal theme. I love the orange cap on top. The boys added the sesame street train around it. Hunting and sesame street go together, right?!?

And last this is my all time favorite nativity set. I get it out every year and get so happy! Then every day I set it up neatly, and in a few minutes it looks like this! Oh well...one day I won't have little boys around. And I know I will miss this!!

Forgotten Posts of 2009

When I have a really good picture, I'll drag it to my desktop in hopes that I will remember to blog about it. Sometimes it happens, but more often it doesn't. So here is what you've missed this year.....

The best picture I have ever taken (in my humble opinion). It helps that the subject is so adorable!

Noah dancing to "Beat It". He was our Thanksgiving entertainment. I have to say he knew EVERY word. Now if he can only memorize his spelling words!

My 3 month long search for peep-toe shoes! It ended in a sassy gold pair that I found in Colorado for 13 bucks. They really are so cute!

The bears we saw in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. And the park ranger yelling "keep it moving" at us. Good thing Steve's quick with the camera!

And lastly Bike Night at Cheeseburger in Paradise with our motorcycle group. We are not a gang, just a group. But we have lots of fun!
