What a week!

If you haven't checked out the bloggy giveaway I urge you to. But be warned it is very addicting!! My kids are being ignored (just kidding), my house is messy (yes!), and I've not done my Bible Study Homework yet! It is hard to stop once you start!! I've also found some blogs with bizarre life coincidences. I even found a blog with my maiden name (Pangburn...who knew?)

On to more news, my brother & sister-in-law will be going to the hospital tomorrow for a baby induction. I am very excited to be an aunt. My nephew calls me Aunt D and I love it! So hopefully Evan will cooperate & make his appearance tomorrow!

Potty Training Boot Camp

So this week we decided to give potty training a try. One of them is getting it, and one of them is not! You haven't lived until you get to clean poop out of a register vent! That's what I got to do today. Lucky me! Today was also an early release day from school, so we went to the church and ran off some energy in the gym. We are blessed to be so close by! Noah is enjoying Upward b-ball this year. We are having fun coaching too.

Bloggy History

I know it's kind of boring to blog about how I got into blogging. But in case anyone was wondering, here goes..
Back when we had real Dish with all the channels I was obsessed with the TLC specials about large (13+ kids) families. I watched all of them and became especially fond of the Jeub family in Colorado. So one day I visited their website to check out the book they were writing (I later ordered the book & really liked it). In their postings, you could look at comments people left and this lead me to my 1st official blog. Her name was Beth & she lives in Indiana. From there, I started clicking on blogs on her sidebar and I was addicted. I am an incredibly nosy person (just ask my family!). So I totally love looking at other people's lives. I love pictures and stories and seeing how other people live. I have gotten lots of great ideas and recipes and spiritual encouragement. Sometimes I will read a post and believe with all my heart I was lead to there for a specific reason. I love feeling like I am not alone!!

My new job

I started my new job on Monday. No more 25 mile commute for me. It takes me 4 minutes to get to the surgery center! The actual building is complete, but they are still working on the inside. They are not opening for surgery until March. So we get to spend a lot of time practicing their computer charting, setting up, putting supplies/equipment away, etc... Luckily I only work 2 days a week. I think that would be boring to do 5 days a week. We also have 3 classes to take in the month of February. They require several certifications that the hospital did not. I am very excited to be in a smaller environment!

Seafood Night

My husband has fond memories of seafood night when he was growing up. He said his mom would cover the table with newspaper, boil a big pot of crab legs, and put it all out on the table. The only rule was you had to eat a bowl of salad first. I was not introduced to crab legs until I met Steve. My parents were not big seafood people, I guess. So the first time I had crab, I thought it was a lot of work for a little food. But it did grow on me, and now I'm a big crab leg fan. Our 2 oldest kids are also big fans. Moose & Snipe not so much. (Although you can't tell that by these pictures) So at least once a year we have our own seafood night. It consists of lots of crab legs...
and lots of shrimp..Most of the food gets consumed very quickly and our only rule is one bowl of salad first!

Library Story Time

I love library story time! Moose and Snipe do to. It's been a long time since we've gotten out of the house. Today was long overdue. The boys do really well listening to the stories and singing songs. After story time, we get to play. Our library has a wonderful play area with puzzles, toys, and lots of fun stuff. The children's area is all closed in, so Moose & Snipe can run, but not get away from mommy! There is a set of twins a little older than mine that also attend story time. Today they came in with a surprise...a new baby sister. Wow!! Their momma will be in my prayers!

On a totally different note, tomorrow is my last day of work at my current job. The surgery center very close to my house offered me a job! I still get to work only Mondays & Fridays (yea!), and it is literally blocks away from our house. Gas prices really stress me out, so this will help out a lot! Not to mention saving me an hour of my time each day. So I am excited, nervous, and a little scared. I pray everything works out and goes smoothly during this transition.

A really cute picture and Upward bball

This picture is for my sister who bought Moose and Snipe these matching pjs. We told them to show us their muscles and this is what we got! Today was our first Upward basketball practice. My husband and I coach Noah's team. There is nothing like 8 first & second grade boys practicing basketball. We are so excited about our season! The Hawks will be an awesome team for sure!

That Fun Place

Our home computer is at the repair shop, so I'll have to wait to post pictures. I survived the 12 hour night shift at work. We did lots of work. People get a little crazy on New Year's Eve! My legs hurt when I got home. I was able to take about a 3 hour nap, got up and was basically a zombie all evening, then got back to bed after The Biggest Loser. (I love that show!)

Today we went to "That Fun Place". It was fun (like the name says). Noah got to play blacklight golf. The twins got to run around like maniacs. Luckily Megan went with me to corral the children. It's never fun leaving a fun place. Especially That Fun Place!

My twins are sleeping (yea :) And now the 5 year old twins who live down the street are down here playing with Noah. I think I am meant to be surrounded by twins at all times. Our house is the real fun place.
