Seven Year Old Twin Boys

It happened.  Even though I kept telling them I wasn't going to let it happen.  My little boys (that's what I've always called them) turned seven on Sunday.  Yes, they did!  I cannot believe how fast seven years have flown.

These little boys were born on April 22, 2005.  We didn't know they existed until Labor Day weekend of that year.  That is when we heard the story of four month old twin boys who needed a forever home.  That is the weekend that changed our lives.  That is the weekend we drug a crib out of the attic, assembled it, borrowed another crib from my sister, and brought these amazing guys into our lives.

The past seven years have been crazy, hectic, insane, fun, and awesome all at the same time.  The next seven years will go by just as fast.  And I will have twin teenage sons who will probably still be crazy, hectic, insane, fun, and awesome.

I think Moose was more excited to turn seven than his brother.  He wants to be like his older brother so bad.  He loves people and always wants to be surrounded by friends.  He will tell you his favorite thing to do is play with his friends.  In fact, not letting him play with friends is the worst punishment I can give him right now.

Devin on the other hand does very well one-on-one.  He does not like a crowd and will seek out one person to focus on.  He loves to do anything his dad does!  He says all the time he wants to be just like dad when he grows up.  He will also do just about anything to make us laugh.  He has some of the goofiest faces I have ever seen!
Happy 7th birthday to my favorite twin boys ever!!

Dalton and Devin, GG and Papaw love you very much. We couldn't imagine our family without you two.

I am here from Kelly's Korner blog! I am originally from Indiana- which is why I clicked on your link. Happy Birthday to your boys! I was wondering if I could ask you about twin adoption? We had twin daughters who were stillborn 3 years ago, and while I know NO child could ever replace my twin girls, I would LOVE to adopt twin girls. It is something that has been on my heart and I feel led by God to do so. If you have any info, could you let me know? My blog is: www.theurthmama.com and my name is Erika. Thanks!!! :-)
